About 1 Click Recommend

1 Click Recommend is a dedicated, stand alone, referral service that enables viewers to easily and securely share web content among contacts they approve.

1 Click Recommend benefits both viewers and web masters.

For viewers - 1 Click Recommend makes sharing online content easy and secure, by doing away with two major convenience and security drawbacks that have prevented viewers from sharing online content with other viewers this far.

a) Having to repeatedly enter recipient data each time to share something.
b) The use of e-mail address in sharing content - an area of major privacy and security concern among viewers.

1 Click Recommend addresses these areas of concern, by doing away with having to repeatedly enter recipient data, and, by eliminating the use of e-mail addresses in the process of sharing content.

With 1 Click Recommend, a user can easily build a list of contacts by entering contacts names or importing contact information from other sites. These contacts serve as recipients when a user would like to share content. A user who’d like to share content now only needs to click a 1 Click Recommend icon on a web page, and is presented with his/her list of contacts. A user can select recipients from these contacts and click the send button. 1 Click Recommend handles the rest.

No personal data or e-mail addresses are used in the process.

As an additional security measure, a user can share content with only other users who approve to receive content from that user. Anonymous referrals are not allowed.

1 Click Recommend also offers users several convenience features, like being able to receive what’s shared with them at a set time, and filters that prevent the same content from reaching them more than once.

For web masters - 1 Click Recommend helps by making it easy for users to share a web sites content. Instead of a user repeatedly entering recipient data each time to share a sites content, a user can now easily pick from a list of preset contacts and simply click the send button. 1 Click Recommend handles the rest. This way, a web site can bring in more viewers from every viewer that visits the site, making it an effective marketing tool.

1 Click Recommend is easy to install too. All that’s needed is a signup, copy and past 5 lines of HTML code to a .js file, include the file on every page you’d like to use the service, place the 1 Click Recommend links or Icons wherever you’d like them to appear, and you’re ready to go.

A web site can also view basic statistics of how many times it was recommended in a day, month or year.

1 Click Recommend is currently in Beta, but is open to all web sites and users.
